WINTER 2012 

  Yep, autumn is over -- the winter season began on December 22nd.  And with it comes the snow, the cold, and the shoveling.  Careful with that.  Don't screw up that aching body anymore than it is.  We want you all back when Spring shows its face in 2012.

  The Pack had a great season (but lost their first game in the playoffs), the Badgers went to the Rose Bowl (and lost).  Much to get excited about in Wisconsin sports.  The holidays are over; we're searching for things to do while waiting to start thinking of golf.  Of course a lot of us are already into golf, taking off for the warm South and Southwest, keeping their skills honed up and enjoying the sun.

  The county finally gave us the information on golf fees for 2012.  Looks like they are raising their prices (an annual rite, I suppose) 50 cents for both 9 hole seniors and 18 holers.  The cart fees will remain at $10 and $16 respectively.  So, with the $25 league dues plus 16 weeks of golf fees, the 9 hole group's cost will be $249 while the 18 holers' charge will be $373.

  Don't forget to check back once in awhile to see if anything new is happening with SPPG.  We had our annual functionaries' meeting last fall and dove into the minds of these people.  Ha.  Just kidding.  Anyway, if any of you have ideas or suggestions that we can use, please feel free to e-mail us your thoughts.  It's your league.
